Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal Tunnel

Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the median nerve, which runs from the forearm into the palm of the hand, becomes pressed or squeezed at the wrist. At MISI, we offer minimally invasive carpal tunnel treatment to bring relief from symptoms that include:

  • Burning
  • Tingling
  • Itching
  • Numbness (especially at night)
  • Decreased grip strength

Our Approach

Our approach to carpal tunnel treatment utilizes an Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release. This procedure uses a device comprised of a small, thin, flexible tube with a tiny attached camera called an endoscope. Dr. Ray guides the endoscope through a 1.5mm incision made in the hand. The endoscope will allow him to see the structures of the hand and wrist with incredible accuracy. Dr. Ray will release the transverse carpal ligament, which will relieve pressure on the median nerve, alleviating symptoms.

This carpal tunnel syndrome treatment takes only 7 minutes, and most of our patients have recovered after just 7 days.
