Fellowship-Trained Interventional Pain Physician
Dr. Gonzalo Gonzales Jr. is a physiatrist and fellowship-trained interventional pain physician. He is the newest addition to our team of pain specialists at MISpineRelief. Dr. Gonzales obtained his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. He served as chief resident during his residency training at UT Southwestern. Dr. Gonzales then completed an ACGME accredited pain fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Gonzales utilizes a wide range of non-invasive, musculoskeletal ultrasound and interventional pain procedures for pain relief. He specializes in treating various conditions that includes sciatica, low back pain, neck pain, arthritis, failed back surgery syndrome, herniated discs, complex regional pain syndrome, peripheral neuropathy, osteoarthritis, joint pain, fibromyalgia, myofascial pain syndrome, cancer pain, herpes zoster (shingles), postherpetic neuralgia, headaches, vertebral compression fractures, intercostal neuralgia, spinal stenosis, trigeminal neuralgia and phantom limb pain.
The procedures that Dr. Gonzales performs includes epidural steroid injections, caudal steroid injections, selective nerve root blocks, facet blocks, facet joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, sacroiliac joint injections, sympathetic blocks, sympathetic neurolysis, intra-articular injections, bursa injections, trigger point injections, vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, discography, spinal cord stimulator trials / implants and occipital nerve blocks.
Dr. Gonzales is originally from Dallas, Texas and he is looking forward to serving the North Texas community.
